About this Gig
Self-hosted n8n on your own VPS: Docker, HTTPS, Postgres and restore-tested backups, set up and verified.
If your n8n is on Railway or Render, it runs until it hits the execution cap or dies at 2am and nobody notices for three days. Self-hosting fixes that.
I deploy n8n on your VPS: Docker, HTTPS on your domain, Postgres instead of SQLite, a worker queue so parallel workflows don't collide, daily backups with a restore I actually run before delivery, and down alerts that fire in minutes. SSH gets hardened too, key-only auth with root login disabled.
I run self-hosted n8n in production across 4 production instances, plus a 5-service Chatwoot Docker stack on OVH. Google Cybersecurity certified. Your data stays inside your own server.
What I need: VPS SSH access, your domain, preferred alert channel.
Message me before ordering and I'll check your VPS for free.

FAQ
Why pay more than $20 for this?
A $20 install usually means SQLite that loses data on crash, no SSL auto-renew, backups that are scheduled but never restore-tested, and a default SSH config. Those skipped parts are exactly what causes downtime. I run this in production for real clients, so it still works months later.
Will my data stay on my server?
Yes, that is the whole point. Your workflows, credentials and execution logs all live inside your own VPS. I don't touch any cloud service you didn't already choose. SSH is hardened key-only with root login disabled, and n8n's credential vault encrypts secrets at rest.
Which VPS providers work?
Any Linux VPS on Ubuntu 20.04+ or Debian 11+: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, OVHcloud, Contabo, Linode. No VPS yet? Tell me your workflow volume and budget and I'll recommend one. A Hetzner CX22 (3 to 4 EUR/mo) handles most n8n workloads easily.
What do you need from me to get started?
SSH access to your VPS (I'll tell you exactly how to add my key), a domain pointed at your server IP, and your alert channel (Telegram or email). For Standard and Premium I also need your backup destination: S3-compatible, SFTP, or local. I handle the rest.
Who keeps it running after you finish?
Standard ships with failure alerts and restore-checked daily backups, so you're covered day to day. For ongoing upkeep (monthly n8n updates, SSL renewal checks, one config change a month) I offer a Monthly Care Plan at $150/mo. Most clients pick it up at delivery.
My VPS already runs other services. Is that a problem?
No. Tell me what's running and I'll work around it. I've deployed n8n next to a full Chatwoot stack (Postgres, Redis, Rails, Sidekiq, Nginx) on one VPS with no conflicts. Send your current setup before ordering and I'll confirm compatibility for free.
Do you also build the workflows, or just host n8n?
This gig is the hosting and infrastructure: Docker, SSL, Postgres, backups, alerts, hardening. Building or fixing the actual automations is separate work. I do that too, just message me and I'll quote it, or add the migration extra if you're moving existing workflows over.
What happens when a new n8n version breaks something?
n8n updates often and some touch the database. Premium ships an update runbook so an upgrade won't lose data, and on a Care Plan I handle updates for you and roll back if a release misbehaves. Either way your restore-tested backups mean a bad update is never fatal.
