About this gig

Proofing is one of the most important steps in the audiobook production process. It is the stage that ensures what the listener is hearing is the same as what they are reading. It also ensures that the listener has a pleasant experience listening to the material as well as making sure it reaches the distribution process. I will meticulously listen to your recorded audiobook for anything that doesn't match the manuscript, any outtakes, errors, distracting noises, etc. and fill out a Quality Control Sheet or QC Sheet outlining everything that I find. Upon receiving my QC Sheet, you can have the narrator re-record the parts or try to have the editor work on them some more.

In addition, I offer editing in which I will remove any outtakes, remove noise and master the audio according to ACX standards.

My final package is editing and proofing in an all-in-one production package. I will proof the material to ensure I have all of the source material I need. I will edit the material. I will proof again. And, of course, I will master it so it will be ready for release on your preferred audiobook platform.

I've been playing guitar and bass for about 25 years. I graduated from Lansing Community College with a focus in music production. During that time, I gained experience on medium to large-scale control surfaces. In addition to music and music production, I have experience in video production. From podcasts to audiobooks and from recording to mixing and mastering, I have gained experience in all things audio.
