I will design pcb plastic enclosure snap fit housing injection molding dfm solidworks

About this gig
Need a PCB enclosure designed with injection molding in mind?
I'm Daniel. I create SolidWorks plastic housings that balance board fit, assembly and manufacturing needs, helping you address design issues before tooling.
What you'll get:
- STEP and editable SolidWorks files,
- STL prototypes and DFM notes as scoped.
Services I offer:
- PCB enclosures
- Snap fit housing
- Screw-fastened cases
- Injection molding DFM
- Draft angle review
- Wall thickness review
- Ribs and gussets
- Screw bosses
- PCB mounting posts
- Connector openings
- Display windows
- Assembly clearances
- Undercut review
- Parting line concepts
- Prototype revisions
Tools I use:
SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
Perfect for:
Electronics startups, product developers and manufacturers planning custom plastic electronics housing.
Send PCB CAD, component heights, material preferences and assembly needs. I'll develop the enclosure around your requirements. Final tooling decisions require your mold maker's review.

FAQ
What information do you need to start?
Please provide PCB STEP files or dimensioned drawings, component heights, connector positions and mounting-hole locations. Include your preferred plastic, assembly method, expected production volume and mold maker’s requirements if available.
Can you design snap fits instead of screws?
Yes. I can develop snap fit features around the intended material, assembly direction and opening requirements. A reusable latch needs different design considerations from a permanent closure. Prototype testing helps confirm its behavior.
What does your injection molding DFM review cover?
Depending on the package, I review wall thickness, draft, ribs, bosses, undercuts, assembly clearances and potential parting lines. Final moldability, shrinkage allowances and tooling decisions should be confirmed with your mold maker.
Which files will I receive?
Basic provides annotated DFM notes. Standard and Premium include native SolidWorks, STEP and STL files. Premium also includes an assembly drawing and DFM notes. Mold tooling files are outside these packages.
Can you revise the housing after prototype testing or mold maker feedback?
Yes. Included revisions cover changes within the agreed brief, such as clearances or feature adjustments. New PCB layouts, major material changes or a different assembly approach may require additional work. Share feedback be
