Why a character can't be suitable for likeness?
A character is only suitable for likeness when this character or person has strong features. People with normal or plain features are very hard to sculpt, so unless they have some recognizable hairstyle, facial hair, or clothing/accessory, they won't be suitable for likeness.
What kind of references do you need for a bust sculpture?
I need very high-quality images of the face from different points of view. It's important that from the references I can see skin details such as wrinkles, freckles, pores, etc.
What kind of references do you need for a full-body sculpture?
If you need a full-body character and his body is visible (not hidden by clothing), I will need references where I can see his anatomy (muscles) and any features like tattoos, scarves, etc.
If I choose the game-ready gig, is the character animated?
No, the character will be game-ready which means it has optimized topology for animation, and it's on A-Pose / T-Pose so an animator or rigger can rig and animate it.
