I have been playing in a band as a professional guitarist for over 10 years and I have worked on countless of songs in the process.
I use Takamine GD20CE-NT with rich and full sound that i record with my Shure SM7B and/or Shure SM57 to capture exactly the sound that you are looking for!

Not at all! Basically all my career I have learnt songs by ear and/or figured out the best chord progressions and melodies for song listening to the rest of the music.
