I have been playing in a band as a professional guitarist for over 10 years and I have worked on countless of songs in the process.
I use PRS Silver Sky, Fender Mustang P90 and Fender Duo Sonic HS for my recordings along with Slate Digital TH-U plugin and Boss GX-100 Guitar Effects Processor to dial in the sound that you are looking for!

Not at all! Basically all my career I have learnt songs by ear and/or figured out the best chord progressions and melodies for song listening to the rest of the music.
