What file formats do you accept for the machinery?
I accept a wide variety of industry-standard CAD and 3D files, including STEP (.stp), IGES (.iges), SolidWorks, AutoCAD (.dwg), STL, OBJ, and FBX. If you only have 2D blueprints, PDF drawings, or reference images, I can also build the 3D models completely from scratch.
My CAD files are extremely heavy and complex. Can you handle them?
Absolutely! Heavy industrial equipment often contains millions of polygons which crash standard software. I have a professional workflow specifically for this: I carefully import, repair, and optimize (retopologize) your CAD data so it animates smoothly without losing any visual accuracy or detail.
How long does a typical machinery assembly animation take?
The timeline depends heavily on the complexity of the machine and the video length. A simple 10-second animation of a single mechanism might take 3-5 days, whereas a full 60-second video showing a complete excavator or engine assembly can take 2-3 weeks.
Will I receive just the final video, or can I get the 3D source files too?
By default, this gig delivers the final rendered video (MP4/MOV with 1080p or 4K resolution). If you need the raw 3D scene files (e.g., .blend, .max, or optimized .fbx/.obj files) for your own internal use, I can include them as a separate add-on. Just let me know!
Can you add text, part numbers, or my company logo to the video?
Yes! Adding technical callouts, part numbers, text labels, and corporate branding is very common for marketing and training videos. I use professional motion graphics software (After Effects) to add clean, crisp 2D text over the 3D animation.
Do you provide sound effects (hydraulics, metal clanking, etc.)?
Yes, I can add high-quality industrial sound effects and background music to make your video highly immersive and professional. If you require sound design, just mention it when we discuss your project so I can include it in your custom quote.
What if I don't know exactly how the animation should flow?
Don't worry! If you don't have a strict storyboard, I will use my engineering and marketing knowledge to plan the camera angles, assembly sequence, and pacing for maximum visual impact. I will always send you a storyboard or camera plan for approval before I start rendering!
