FAQ
What information do I need to provide?
Please provide only the information directly relevant to the KB article(s) or how-to guide(s) ordered. You may provide an existing article for me to revamp or relevant documentation, policies, procedures, product information, or written instructions for creating new content.
How much source material will you review?
Basic: Up to 5 pages OR 2,500 words Standard: Up to 15 pages OR 7,500 words Premium: Up to 25 pages OR 12,500 words Whichever limit is reached first applies. These limits cover ALL source material combined.
Can I send an entire manual, website, or knowledge base?
Not under the standard packages. Please identify and provide only the pages, sections, or links directly relevant to the article(s) ordered. Reviewing an entire manual, website, help center, document library, knowledge base, or other large collection to locate the necessary information is extra.
Do website links count toward my source-material limit?
Yes. Online documentation, help-center articles, webpages, and other linked written material I must review are considered source material. Package limits are: Basic: Up to 2 directly relevant URLs Standard: Up to 6 directly relevant URLs Premium: Up to 10 directly relevant URLs
Will you research my product, service or system?
Independent product research, technical investigation, competitor research, policy research, or learning an entire product/system from scratch is NOT included in available packages.
What counts as one KB article or how to guide?
ne article covers one primary topic, process, troubleshooting issue, or closely related workflow. Multiple unrelated tasks or processes are not considered one article simply because they are placed in the same document. If you're unsure how many articles your project requires, please message me.
Can I send additional documentation after you begin?
Please provide all relevant source material when placing your order. Additional documentation submitted after work begins is not automatically included, even if the original source-material allowance was not fully used. Additional fees may be charged if sent after start of project.
Can I send videos, recordings, meetings, or training sessions for you to review?
Video/audio review and transcription are NOT included in standard packages. Please provide a written transcript containing the relevant information. The transcript counts toward your package's source-material word limit. Message me for custom quote before ordering if you need something else.
Do you follow company style guides.
I can follow reasonable brand voice, terminology, and basic formatting preferences when those instructions are provided with your order. Reviewing and complying with a formal, extensive company/editorial documentation style guide is not included in standard packages.
What happens if the information I provide is inaccurate or incomplete?
The buyer is responsible for providing accurate and complete product, policy, technical, process, and troubleshooting information. I will write based on the information provided. Changes required because source information was inaccurate, or later changed are not considered corrections to my work.
