What information do you need from me to start drafting my patent application?
To begin, I will need a clear description of your invention, including its purpose, features, working principle, advantages, and any drawings, sketches, or notes you may have. The more details you provide, the better I can understand and draft your application.
Do I need to have a fully developed invention before contacting you?
Not necessarily. Even if your invention is at an early stage, you may still be able to file a provisional patent application. Please contact me first so we can discuss your invention and determine the best approach.
Will my information and invention details remain confidential?
Yes. I treat all client information, invention disclosures, and related documents with strict confidentiality and professionalism. If required and recommended, a Confidentiality Agreement or Non-Disclosure Agreement can always be executed.
Which patent offices or jurisdictions do you support?
I can help draft patent applications suitable for USPTO filings and can also support drafting aligned with EP, WIPO, and the IN patent office requirements, depending on your needs. In addition Patent Offices that considers English as one of the Official Languages for filing Patent Applications.
Are you an attorney, legal counsel or lawyer?
No. I am not a lawyer, attorney or a legal counsel. I am trained in US & EP Patent Law & have 25+ years of experience in the field of IP, specifically Patents, as an IP Professional & as a Trainer/Coach/Mentor, out of which 10+ years was in the IP & Legal Operations of General Electric Company, USA.
Do you also do a 'Novelty' or 'Patentability' study prior to drafting patent applications?
No. I donot do any 'Novelty' or 'Patentability' study prior to drafting. However, I do a quick prior art search using the free to use patent and non patent literature search platforms like Google Patents, Google Scholar, Espacenet etc. to understand the background & scope of the invention.
Can you handle complex or highly technical inventions?
Yes. I have experience of working with technically complex inventions across multiple domains and I work very closely with the inventors/scientists. If your invention involves highly specialized or niche technology, I would always recommend to please message me beforehand to confirm suitability.
Do you have the required 'Technology' domain expertise needed to draft or review technically complex claims?
Yes. I hold a Master's Degree in Technology (M.Tech.) in Polymer Science & Technology (a specialized branch of Chemistry/Chemical Engineering & Materials Science. As IP Professional I've worked very closely with Scientists, Technologists & R&D Professionals over a wide variety of technology domains.
What is your 'Core' technology domain expertise?
My core technology domain expertise includes - Polymer Science (Plastics, Rubbers, Paints, Coatings, Adhesives etc.), Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Petrochemical, Petroleum, Automotive, Healthcare and the like.
