I will design a futuristic vehicle concept

About this gig
Designed to Be Bent, Not Stamped
This project explores a new approach to vehicle design driven by manufacturing efficiency rather than traditional automotive surfacing.
The concept is a futuristic off-road vehicle designed around flat sheet metal fabrication and press-brake bending, dramatically reducing the need for expensive deep-draw stamping tools. Instead of hiding manufacturing constraints, the design embraces them using faceted geometry, sharp feature lines, and exposed mechanical elements as core elements of its visual identity.
Every major exterior panel is developed with the intention of being:
Laser cut from flat sheet
Bent using simple press-brake operations
Welded or bolted into modular assemblies
This strategy can significantly lower initial tooling investment, making it ideal for low-volume production, startup EVs, defense-inspired mobility, and extreme off-road platforms.
Rather than chasing luxury surfacing, the design language reflects industrial honesty where folds add stiffness, panel breaks become styling features, and modular parts improve serviceability and repair.
This project represents a shift from form follows function to:
form follows fabrication.
