Want to give your writing a boost? Looking for substantive suggestions on how to help your text shine? Send your work to me! I offer two kinds of editing services: developmental editing and line editing.
For developmental editing, I will carefully read your book, short story, or article and provide inline commentary with suggestions for rewrites along with a detailed, constructive critique addressing structure, voice, reader engagement, language use, and anything else I find that may help you develop your work to its potential. This service includes inline commentary and a separate editorial report (but not changes to the document).
For line editing, l will directly modify your text to assist with style, flow, and clarity of your work. Where appropriate, I'll add content such as transitions or limited amounts of exposition. (I'll also address grammatical issues as I find them.)
I have extensive experience with both fiction and nonfiction of all genres. Please contact me before ordering so we can work out which service is the right one to help you reach your goals. I look forward to hearing from you!

Did you contact me on Discord?
No. Unfortunately, someone has started impersonating me on Discord and has been contacting people who have left me reviews. I only contact clients through Fiverr. If anyone claiming to be me has reached out to you on Discord or other platforms, please report them.
What kind of editing does this gig include?
I actually offer two different services through this gig: Developmental Editing and Line Editing. Before starting any job, please let me know which service you're interested in.
What is Developmental Editing?
A detailed critique of your work. It includes inline commentary on structure, style, and language, as well as a separate editorial report with holistic recommendations. I'll highlight what's working, what's not, and offer suggestions for you to consider as appropriate.
What is Line Editing?
This is where I make actual edits to the text, working to improve style, flow, and clarity. I'll add transitional language as needed (within reason), break up or rearrange paragraphs to improve flow, etc. I'll also correct grammar errors as I find them, but this isn't a proofreading service.
What I'm not sure what I need?
Contact me and let me know what your goals are at present for your draft. If you think you may need both services, developmental editing would normally come first. Sometimes for shorter texts it's possible to do both services simultaneously.
