I'll recommend the right instance type based on your use case and budget — typically t2.micro or t3.small for most web hosting needs. You can also specify your preferred type when ordering.
Can you migrate my existing website to the EC2 server?
Basic migration for simple sites is possible within the Standard and Premium packages. For complex migrations with databases and large file transfers, contact me first for a custom quote.
What is S3 used for in this setup?
S3 is used for storing and serving static files like images, videos, CSS, and JavaScript. It can also serve as a standalone static website host or a backup storage solution for your server.
Do you set up automated backups?
Automated EC2 snapshots and S3 versioning can be configured on request. Mention this when ordering and I'll include it in your setup at no extra cost for basic configurations.
Can you install and configure a database on the EC2 instance?
Yes. MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB can be installed on the EC2 instance. For managed database setups I can also connect your EC2 to AWS RDS.
Will my server be secure after setup?
Yes. I configure security groups to restrict unnecessary ports, set up SSH key-only access, and apply basic server hardening. Premium includes full SSL and HTTPS configuration.
What access do you need to my AWS account?
