About this Gig
A self-hosted n8n server holds every API key and password your workflows use. Out of date and open to the internet, it is the weakest point in your business.
That risk is current. An n8n flaw rated critical is on the US government's list of vulnerabilities being actively exploited, and more than 20 critical n8n vulnerabilities have been published since March 2026.
WHAT I DO. Update your instance to a patched version without losing workflows or credentials. Put it behind SSL and a reverse proxy, lock down access, move it onto Postgres, and set up automated backups, tested by actually restoring one. Premium adds monitoring and alerts so you hear about problems first.
NEW OR EXISTING. A fresh install, or a rescue of one that is already running. Any VPS: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, or your own hardware. No server yet? I will tell you exactly what to get.

Will I lose my workflows during the update?
No. I back up the database and your encryption key first, and confirm the backup actually restores before touching anything. Big version jumps get tested on a copy before your live server.
Is my instance vulnerable right now?
Send me your n8n version number before you order. I will tell you whether it has known critical vulnerabilities and how urgent the update is, for free.
Can you keep it updated after this?
Yes. Ongoing updates and monitoring are available as a monthly arrangement once the setup is done. It stays your server and your account the whole time. I maintain it for you; I never host it for you.
What access do you need?
Admin access to the server for the length of the job. Create a separate login for me and remove it when we are done. I never need the passwords to your business accounts.
