About this gig
Want the speed of a modern React front end without giving up WordPress or WooCommerce as your CMS? I build headless sites with Next.js on top of your existing content and store.
What you get:
- Next.js and TypeScript front end using the WordPress REST API or WPGraphQL
- WooCommerce products, cart and checkout connected to the new front end
- ACF and Gutenberg content mapped to reusable React components
- SEO essentials: metadata, sitemaps, redirects, image optimisation
- Deployment to Vercel or your server, with editor previews
Why me: 10+ years as a full-stack engineer and tech lead across WordPress, WooCommerce, React, Next.js and Node.js. Documented, maintainable code and plain-English trade-offs.
A good fit if your site is slow, hard to scale, or needs an app-like front end. If headless is not right for your project, I'll tell you before you spend money.
Please message me before ordering with your site URL and goals. I'll confirm scope and a fixed price in a custom offer.

FAQ
Is headless right for my site?
Usually when speed, an app-like front end or several front ends matter. For a simple brochure site, a fast classic theme is cheaper. Send your URL and goals and I will recommend honestly before you order.
Can my editors keep using WordPress as usual?
Yes. Editors keep the normal WordPress dashboard, blocks and ACF fields. I set up previews so they can see changes before publishing.
What hosting do I need?
WordPress stays on its current host. The Next.js front end usually runs on Vercel or a Node-capable server. Hosting accounts are in your name and paid by you.
Will my SEO be affected?
Pages are rendered on the server with titles, meta tags, sitemaps and canonical URLs, so search engines see full content. Any URL change gets a 301 redirect.
Do you keep my existing URLs?
Yes, by default. If a structure change helps, I agree it with you first and add redirects.
