Hello! I'm Dhatuyo Budiarto, a passionate chess player with over a decade of experience in the game. At 20 years old, I've earned the prestigious Candidate Master (CM) title from FIDE and have accumulated 30-40+ medals and trophies through various competitions.
But my passion for chess goes beyond playing. With over 100 hours of teaching experience, I have successfully coached students of all ages, including children. What is your rating?
I'm a FIDE Candidate Master (CM) with a peak FIDE rating of 2004 (FIDE ID: 7103000 — publicly verifiable). On Chess.com my peak rating is approximately 2450 (username: Dhammiko). The Candidate Master title is a permanent FIDE title — once earned, it never expires.
Have you taught kids?
Yes! Around 50% of my students are kids. My youngest student is 6 years old. I use a fun, patient approach that builds real chess fundamentals. One student, Bryan (age 8), gained +400 rating in just 3 months.
How do we schedule a session?
After ordering, I'll personally send you my booking link connected to Google Calendar. Pick a time that works for you. I'm based in Indonesia (WIB, UTC+7) but have slots available for US, UK, Canada and Australia clients.
What platform do we use for lessons?
I primarily use Zoom (premium) for calls and Chess.com for the board — the best combo for interactive lessons. Google Meet, Skype, or Discord also work. I'll send everything after confirming your schedule.
What level do i need to be?
No level required — complete beginners are welcome. I coach all levels from absolute beginners to 1800+ rated players. Not sure which package fits your level? Message me first and I'll guide you to the right one.
What happens after the session?
You'll receive a clear focus point to work on immediately. Standard package buyers get a recorded session to rewatch anytime. Premium buyers also get a custom training plan — so you improve even between our sessions.
