I love words! I especially love to take a piece of writing and give it that 'polish,' leaving the finished copy clean, correct and easy to read.
Send me your text or manuscript and I will return it to you fully proofed for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax - a lot of which a spellcheck can miss!
I'll also correct repetition, awkward phrasing, tense agreement, extra spacing, missing words and sentence flow. I edit for continuity and coherency, but will highlight any cases where the author's intent is unclear.
Please note this gig does not check for expert-level factual accuracy or plagiarism. The quality, originality & accuracy of the content, as well as how references/footnotes are cited, are the responsibility of the author.

In what format should I submit my manuscript?
Microsoft Word is preferred, but if your document is in an alternative format, feel free to enquire and we may be able to work around it.
In what format will you return my manuscript?
The finished job will be delivered as a Microsoft Word document with all changes tracked. If you require, I will also send you a clean version with all changes completed.
Do you proofread or edit 'English' that has been computer generated, e.g. from translation software?
I am happy to take a look, but unfortunately from my experience auto-generated text tends to be nonsensical and impossible to decipher. So in most cases, no - sorry!
Do you accept all varieties of written English?
If you have read up to this point, you can probably tell I am a native Brit! However, I am widely experienced in proofing and editing American, Australian and Canadian English in addition to British and will accept manuscripts in any - just specify which you require.
