First chapters determine if the book makes past the slush pile or reaches the checkout counter of a bookstore. An impactful first chapter is meant to hook the reader, set expectation for style and tone, introduce the inciting incident and stakes, and balance information with action.

Do you use AI to edit your work?
NO. I have a strict no-AI policy. You see a human, you get a human. I have more depth than AI and I am earth-friendly. And your literary text needs human texture to connect with the fellow kind.
What are your expectations from the author?
1. The literature must be entirely written by you, a human. 2. Please be kind, honest, patient, and professional during the course of the project.
Why do I need to message you before placing an order?
I take on only one editorial project at a time to provide immersive quality and to ensure my undivided presence during the editorial process.
Will my work be safe with you?
I completely understand the hard work you have put into your manuscript and it will be treated ethically and respectfully. As soon as the project is marked complete, I will delete your manuscript from my computer.
What genres and themes do you work with?
I work with contemporary and literary fiction, marginalised narratives, humour/comedy, and all genres and themes in fiction.
What literary formats does the gig include?
The first chapter(s) critique can be for novellas, novelettes, novels and epic novels.
What services do you offer?

What is the post assessment video call for?
The 30-minute Fiverr video call is to explain the editorial report and next steps. The call is to answer any questions you might have and does NOT include further rounds of revisions. This provides you with creative support and clarity instead of making it completely transactional.
Will you rewrite or ghostwrite my chapter to fix the issues?
No. This is a comprehensive editorial assessment. I will structurally analyse and provide you with fixes/recommendations on the weak points. As an author, it is at your discretion to accept or reject them. The rewriting part will be done by you, the author. I will not copyedit, proofread, factcheck.
How can I apply for the Community Plan?
You can simply select the plan and proceed. You will not be asked to produce any financial proof. I wish to ensure each story sees the light of day, while maintaining the financial sustainability required to keep providing these services. All I ask of you is to be honest.
