Hi, my name is Deanna, a full-time Canadian American Female Voice Over Actor.
Have you ever tried to watch a movie, tv show or any video with your eyes closed & tried to understand whats happening? When a visually impaired person can't see whats happening & the scene has no dialogue to describe it, they are unable to enjoy it! This is what AUDIO DESCRIPTION (AD) is for!! It's a professionally recorded, voiceover narration that describes what is happening on screen, including physical actions, facial expressions, costumes, settings, colours & scene changes. It is heard in between the existing dialogue. It can be extremely detailed or more basic. I can also provide CC & subtitles.
The AD voice over is friendly, professional & articulate, & is sometimes read 'extremely fast', or at a 'natural pace' to fit in between existing dialogue. The video can be paused or slowed down to fit in the AD if/where needed. I can provide one or all of these services: Scriptwriting, record voiceover, edit video, provide VTT & SCT files, add CC or subtitles.

Help, I dont know how to order?
I totally understand. Audio Description is quite unique for each job with so many variables. Contact me with as many specific details as you can so I can quote you properly. Do you need scriptwriting? Video editing? Want me to attach the audio to your video? Do you have a video editor? etc. etc.
Can you write my script?
Yes, I can write the audio description for you. There are several different ways to approach it. Do you want it to be extremely detailed, fairly detailed or more basic detail? Typically this depends on how much 'space' there is in your video to fit the AD and how fast you want the AD to be read.
Can you just record the audio description only?
Yes, If you want to write the script and just have me record it that's no problem.
Can you 'attach' the audio description to my video?
Yes, I can do that.
What if the audio description is too long to fit in between the dialogue of the video?
In some cases, there isn't any space in between the existing video's dialogue to fit the AD, in that case you can slow the video down in certain sections where you want the AD, or freeze the video, or actually edit the video by adding more footage. Either, I can edit the video or your videographer.
Can you provide me with closed captioning files like VTT or SCT?
Yes, I can provide you with subtitles burned into the video, or closed captioning files such as VTT or SCT.
