About this Gig
Are you stuck? Unable to put the incredible ideas in your head into words others can understand? As a creative writing teacher, and published freelance TTRPG writer & contributor with multiple credits, allow me to help you create your ideal RPG character's backstory, presented in a beautiful 5e sourcebook style format! See the image gallery for samples.
I prefer to write for Fantasy (D&D, Pathfinder, OSR games) or Horror (Old Gods of Appalachia), but can also do Sci-Fi (Starfinder, Numenera) & Dystopia (like Cyberpunk).
I can work with as much, or as little, detail as you'd like to provide to start, and each package comes with at least one opportunity for you to ask for a revision to better fit your ideal! We can create a single character together, a whole party, or a wider setting! I can work with many pre-made settings, or help flesh out your homebrew!

Can you work with homebrew material?
Of course! Give me your craziest homebrew classes and races! I can help write your character to fit any homebrew setting/restrictions you need, or to fit specific premade settings with their own rules and established lore.
Can you create a character sheet to go with the backstory?
As a long time DM, I am very familiar with the mechanical systems of Dungeons & Dragons 5E. However, I no longer offer this add-on service as of October 2025
Do you also draw characters?
No, sorry, I am not an artist. At least, not a good one. But, there are plenty of talented artists all over Fiverr!
