About this Gig

Your bot connects, or it doesn't. It places orders, or they sit there. The broker holds a position your code says you closed.

I have run an IBKR system in production for over a year and hit most of these myself.

What I fix:

Connection. Refused connections, clientId collisions, TWS not up yet after a reboot. The bot should wait and retry, not exit.

Stuck orders. An order in Submitted past your timeout is not a failed order. If your code treats it as failure and moves on, the fill still arrives and you own stock you do not know about.

Missing fills. Order state driven by execDetails, commissionReport and orderStatus, not by polling. Deduplication by execId, ownership by permId, filled quantity taken from the broker.

Position drift. Two-way reconciliation against the account, at startup and after every reconnect. Broker-only positions reported, never auto-liquidated.

Silent data. Empty quote streams with no error, and single symbols that stop updating while the rest work.

Send me the code and the symptom. I start by telling you what is actually wrong, in plain terms, before touching anything. If it is outside what I can help with, I will say so before you order.
