No one wants egg on their face because they present or publish a document with grammatical or spelling errors. That's where I come in.
As an English major, I am very aware of the rules of the English language and have a plethora of experience editing indie novels. Additionally, the work will be thorough and receive careful attention. I prefer to work with documents in Microsoft Word format but will also edit PDF documents. After acknowledging receipt of the work, you may ask me questions about the suggestions within fourteen (14) days free of charge.
My main focus in editing is fiction, particularly short stories, but I also edit/proofread non-fiction, poetry, novels, etc. If you are unsure if I will edit your document, feel free to message me for clarification.
Need more thorough editing and critique than basic grammatical proofreading? Need something longer than 40,000 words long proofread? Message me for a custom order; I'm very responsive and work closely with all clients to ensure their satisfaction and success.

What kinds of documents do you edit?
I am willing to edit blog posts, content for your website, works of fiction, and nonfiction books.
Do you have any editing experience?
Yes. I have edited multiple indie novels, including an Amazon bestseller.
Do you edit translations or works written by non-native English speakers?
Yes. Many of the works I have edited before have been translations into English and/or have been written by people whose first language is not English.
Will you provide critique on the document/manuscript?
This gig is namely for proofreading for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, etc. There is a "Feedback" extra available for an additional $20, for which I will provide feedback on the technical aspects of your writing. For something more thorough, contact me and we'll arrange a custom offer.
Which form of English do you use to edit?
I use American English because that is the form I have always learned and worked with, but I can also use British English if that is your target audience's preferred form. I have worked with writers from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, so I have a good grasp on that form.
What if my document is longer than 40,000 words?
If your work is longer than 40,000 words, please contact me, and I will let you know about my rates and turnaround times for longer works. If those are agreeable to you, we can arrange a custom offer from there.
