What is developmental editing?
Developmental editing looks at the bigger picture of a piece of writing, including structure, organization, ideas, clarity, flow, audience, gaps, repetition, and overall effectiveness. It goes beyond proofreading or correcting grammar.
Do you rewrite my work for me?
No. My role is to help you understand what your writing needs and provide thoughtful, specific feedback and recommendations while preserving your voice and vision.
Can you edit a project larger than the package word count?
Yes. Larger or more complex projects can be accommodated through a custom quote. Please contact me before ordering so we can discuss the project and determine the appropriate scope.
What should I send you before ordering?
Please provide your current draft or working material, along with any helpful context about the project, intended audience, goals, and areas where you'd especially like feedback. The more context I have, the more useful my editorial feedback can be.
Are there topics you don't work on?
Yes. I reserve the right to decline projects based on subject matter. I do not accept projects involving political advocacy, partisan political content, occult or magical practices, or other topics outside my professional scope. If unsure, please contact me before ordering.
