No. Drum Easy uses my visual GrooveCode system, designed to help you start playing without traditional drum notation. If you decide to learn notation later, that's absolutely possible, but it isn't required to get started.

Is this suitable for children and adults?
Yes. Drum Easy is suitable for learners of all ages and has been successfully used with both children and adults.
Is GrooveCode only for beginners?
Not at all. While Drum Easy is designed to help beginners build strong foundations, GrooveCode can also help developing drummers improve timing, coordination and confidence through a simple, structured approach.

Do I need a full Drum Kit?
No. A drum kit is ideal, but many of the exercises can also be practised on a practice pad or other suitable surfaces while you build confidence.
Can I use an Electronic kit?
Absolutely! They're often the best choice at home, particularly if your neighbours aren't a fan of the noise - electronic kits are widely used with Drum Easy.
