I will be your parody song lyric writer
About this Gig
Please message me before setting up a gig, so I can make sure I'm comfortable doing what you are asking, and just in case a custom offer will be needed.
My name is Ethan, and I have been writing professional-quality song parodies for over twenty years. The recorded versions of lyrics I've written, often produced at least in part through this site, have been featured on the Dr. Demento show, the FUMP, and various independent comedy music shows. And now I'm setting up this gig to I can write for others. Maybe you.
If you want a song parody for a special occasion, a comedy routine and/or video, promoting a business, or even just because you want the song to exist, send me a message and we will probably make it happen. And of course, if I don't think I can do it, I will tell you.
I can do parodies of just about any popular song, and sometimes even songs that aren't especially popular, but if it's unusually long and/or has a difficult rhyme scheme then we will probably have to do a custom offer due to the extra effort required.
I look forward to hearing from you.

FAQ
Can You Provide Recordings?
No, but I can recommend people I've worked with.
Why should I pay you? Can't I just write it myself?
You can try, but unless you're very experienced with parody writing, it probably won't turn out as well.
What if I need same-day turnaround for a full parody?
Message me and we can try to work something out. But it will depend upon how difficult the parody is to write and how much else I have to do that day. If same day turnaround is unrealistic, I will say so.
What makes you qualified to write parodies professionally?
Experience, mostly. Strong rhyming skills, a decent sense of humor, and extensive knowledge of popular music across multiple decades and genres are also helpful.
Where can I find the lyrics you've written?
There are some in the documents shared in this gig, but you can also Google "Ethan Mawyer Song Parodies" and find hundreds of lyrics as well as my YouTube channel and some other places which have shared recordings of lyrics writtten by me.
Can I buy rights to a previously written parody?
Maybe. Feel free to message me and we can discuss a potential custom offer regarding that.
