The standard sizes I work with are 3000x3000 - 3000x3800 (vertical/horizontal) at 300-500 dpi, but it all depends on the client's needs.
Just tell me what you want to illustrate, and I'll do it for you. If you have references or character poses, it will make it easier for me, and I'll get a better, more precise illustration.
