Your site is down, Nginx throws 502s, the SSL certificate will not renew, DNS points somewhere wrong, or a service dies every night and you do not know why. Server problems are stressful because everything is invisible until you know where to look.
I administer Linux systems daily as an infrastructure engineer: services, logs, networking, reverse proxies, and app deployments on AWS and VPS hosts. I find the actual cause, fix it, and leave a handoff note with the commands and reasoning, so next time you can check it yourself.
What I fix:
- Nginx/reverse proxy errors (502/504, misrouted domains, broken configs)
- SSL certificates: issuance, renewal, redirects (Let's Encrypt/certbot)
- DNS records that do not resolve where they should
- Services crashing or failing to start (systemd, logs, ports, permissions)
- App deployments (Node.js, Python) that will not come up on the server
- Disk full, memory pressure, runaway processes

What access do you need?
A temporary SSH user (ideally with sudo) that you create for the order and delete after delivery. If you cannot grant access, I can often work from configs and log excerpts you paste, but diagnosis is slower.
Is it safe to give you access?
Use a dedicated temporary user, never your own account, and revoke it the moment the order closes. I will list every command I ran in the handoff note.
What counts as one issue?
One symptom with one root cause, for example Nginx returning 502 for my app. If I find a second independent problem, I tell you first and quote it separately.
My server was hacked. Can you clean it?
No. Compromise recovery needs forensics and a rebuild, which is beyond a fixed-price gig done safely. I can help you set up a clean replacement server instead (Premium package).
Which distros do you work with?
Ubuntu and Debian are my daily drivers; most mainstream distros including the RHEL family are fine for the covered tasks.
