I am happy to help! I am a full-time editor with a BFA in Creative Writing and an MFA in Dramaturgy, and I am a member of ACES as well as CIEP. I will conduct all my comments in Google Docs or Microsoft Word with full notation.

For line edits, I'm looking at clarity, rhythm, readability, emotional impact, and character voice consistency. Are there awkward phrases? Are your dialogue tags adding or subtracting from the reader's experience? Are your word choices supporting your narrative goals? My goal here is to cut redundancy, add specificity and strengthen your sense of setting/character, as well as flag details that need to be shown, not told. 

PLEASE NOTE: This service does NOT include developmental editing. We are not looking at story functions like plot and character development. Line editing is not about what you write; it's about how you write it.
