Construction Estimator, Quantity Takeoffs, Cost Estimates, RS Means
About this Gig
I've seen too many bids go wrong because someone rushed the takeoff and missed a few line items nobody noticed until material was ordered. That's the part I don't rush.
I'm a civil engineer, and takeoffs are basically all I do concrete, masonry, formwork, electrical, MEP, whatever your project needs, trade by trade, not lumped together into one number that hides mistakes. I use PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX, or AutoCAD depending on what you send me. Clients so far have mostly been from the US, UK, Canada and Australia, so I'm used to switching units and formats without you having to explain it twice.
You send drawings, even a rough scanned set is fine, and you get back an Excel sheet that's actually usable not something you have to clean up before sending to your estimator.
If you're not sure about scope, just message me first. Two minutes of back and forth saves both of us a headache later.

FAQ
Do you actually check your own work?
Yes, every takeoff gets a second pass before it goes out, I'd rather catch my own mistake than have you catch it.
What if my drawings aren't perfect quality?
Send them anyway, I'll tell you if the scale is too unclear to work with.
Software i use?
PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX, AutoCAD
Turnaround?
1-2 days for small stuff, longer for full commercial scope, I'll tell you upfront.
