Ensuring you have a clean and polished manuscript is one of the best things you can do ahead of self-publishing or submitting to literary agents, but when you've read your manuscript as many times as it has taken to get to your current draft, things can be missed (and spellcheck isn't foolproof!).

I will read your work carefully and thoroughly, looking for:

• Repetition
• Modifiers/empty words
• Redundant adverbs
• Distracting rhymes
• Mixed metaphors
• Clarity and consistency
• Dialogue, speech tags and avoiding the strict reality of speech

I will provide a marked-up copy and a clean copy, and a note to flag the changes that came up the most frequently so you can keep an eye out for them in the future.
