What exactly is Beta Reading, and how does it differ from proofreading?
Beta Reading focuses on the structural elements of your story—such as pacing, character development, plot holes, and dialogue—evaluating the overall reader experience. It is not proofreading, although I will point out obvious typos if I spot them while reading.
What file format should I send?
I prefer Microsoft Word (.docx) or Google Docs. This allows me to leave in-line comments directly in the margins of your text in real time as I read.
Will my manuscript and ideas be safe with you?
Absolutely! Your work is 100% confidential. Your manuscript will never be shared, published, copied, or disclosed in any way.
How does the Reader's Report work?
You will receive a PDF or Word document organized by sections (Plot, Characters, Pacing, Dialogue, and Worldbuilding) with detailed analysis, strengths, areas for improvement, and an overall score.
