What is the difference between dissolution and reinstatement?
Dissolution means officially closing and terminating your LLC with the state. Reinstatement means reviving an LLC that was previously dissolved or suspended — bringing it back to active good standing.
My LLC has been inactive for years — can it still be reinstated?
In most states, yes. However the process involves filing back annual reports and paying accumulated penalties. Message me with your state and I will confirm exactly what is required and what it will cost you.
If I dissolve my LLC do I also need to cancel my EIN?
Yes. The EIN itself is never truly cancelled by the IRS but you must send a formal closure letter to notify the IRS that the business entity is dissolved. My Premium package includes this IRS notification letter preparation

What if I need both dissolution and a final annual report filed?
