I will build a unity 3d game prototype or gameplay feature

About this gig
Put your game idea into something you can play.
I build Unity 3D/C# prototypes and gameplay features: the interaction, rules and feedback that let you test whether an idea works. I also work inside an existing project when you need a clearly defined mechanic finished.
I've shipped a commercial Unity game on Steam Early Access with a publisher, taking responsibility for gameplay systems, debugging, builds and release work. My wider background includes 12+ years in commercial software and hands-on engineering leadership.
Basic adds one bounded feature to a runnable project. Standard builds two compact test levels around one core mechanic. Premium adds a third test level and up to three agreed supporting mechanics. Each includes source, one build target, playtest notes and handover.
We'll agree the controls, rules, target platform and a short acceptance checklist before ordering. Use your licensed assets or simple placeholders. Bespoke art/audio, multiplayer networking, store submission and a complete commercial game are separately scoped. Send a short idea or video reference and I'll help shape a useful first playable.

FAQ
Can I get a playable prototype rather than just code?
Yes. Standard and Premium deliver a small working loop, source and a runnable build. The goal is to let you play and assess the idea.
Can you add something to an existing game?
Yes. Basic is designed for one clearly described behaviour in a project that already runs. Larger systems can be quoted as milestones after reviewing the current code.
Do you provide graphics, animation or music?
I can use simple placeholders or assets you supply with appropriate rights. Bespoke art, animation, sound and paid asset licences are separate from these programming packages.
Can you build multiplayer or a full commercial game?
I have commercial game-delivery experience, including multiplayer systems. Those are larger engagements that need their own requirements, platform choices and milestones.
How will I know what was tested?
The handover includes the agreed build target, setup steps and concrete playtest checks. It does not promise compatibility or performance on untested devices.
Is the cover a screenshot of a delivered game?
Yes. All three images use actual Hardware Store Simulator gameplay, with permission. I was its founder and lead programmer; it launched in Steam Early Access in 2025. Your package uses supplied or placeholder assets; bespoke art and full-game work need their own scope.
How large are the prototype levels?
Standard has 2 compact test levels sharing one agreed core mechanic. Premium has 3 test levels, the same core loop and up to 3 named supporting behaviours. These are small blockouts to test gameplay, using supplied assets or placeholders; a full campaign and bespoke environments are separate.
Which build target is included?
One agreed target: Windows desktop, or desktop-browser WebGL after checking compatibility. This listing covers Unity 3D. Engine upgrades, mobile/console ports, networking and store submission are separately scoped.
What counts as a revision?
One consolidated round of changes within the agreed mechanics and test levels. New systems, extra levels or a changed brief are separate work. Revisions do not limit correction of an error in the agreed deliverable.
