FAQ
Am I eligible for British citizenship?
To apply for naturalisation, you generally need to have held Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for at least 12 months, met the good character requirement, and passed the Life in the UK test. Book a consultation and I can assess your specific circumstances.
Will a criminal conviction stop me from getting citizenship?
Not necessarily. The Home Office assesses each case individually based on the nature, seriousness, and timing of the offence. Book a consultation so I can advise on how this may affect your application.
Does your fee include the Home Office application fee?
No. My fee covers my professional advisory and application preparation service only. The Home Office application fee (currently £1,735, this includes the £130 citizenship ceremony fee) and the cost of the Life in the UK test (£50) are paid separately by you directly to the Home Office.
Do I need to attend a ceremony?
If you are 18 or over and your application is approved, you must attend a citizenship ceremony within 90 days to receive your certificate of naturalisation. Applicants under 18 do not need to attend a ceremony
How long does the application process take?
The Home Office currently takes around 6 months to process most naturalisation applications. My preparation service ensures your application is complete and accurate to avoid unnecessary delays.
Can you help with a passport application after citizenship?
Passport applications are not included in this service. Once you receive your certificate of naturalisation, I offer a separate gig to assist with your first British passport application
