FAQ
Are you actually regulated?
Yes. I am registered with the Immigration Advice Authority (formerly the OISC) at Level 1 in the Immigration category. You can verify this on the public register of regulated advisers before you order — please do.
Can you guarantee my visa will be approved?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. The decision rests with the Home Office. What I can do is assess your case honestly against the Immigration Rules and tell you in writing where it is strong and where it is weak — including if my view is that you should not apply yet.
Does the price include the Home Office fee?
No. My fee covers professional advice and preparation only. The Home Office application fee, the Immigration Health Surcharge, English language test fees, TB test fees and any translation or courier costs are separate and paid by you directly.
We don't meet the income threshold. Can you still help?
Possibly. The financial requirement can be met through employment, self-employment, pensions, other specified income, cash savings, or a combination, and there is a separate route where the sponsor receives certain disability or carer's benefits. Send me the details and I will advise you.
My application was refused. Can you appeal for me?
Refusals, administrative review and appeals are outside the level I am authorised to work at. I will not take that work, but I will point you towards an adviser authorised at the appropriate level or a solicitor.
Do you offer video or phone calls?
Yes, but I prefer that all advice is given in writing. That is deliberate. It gives you a clear record of exactly what you were advised, and it gives me an accurate file. It also means there is no language barrier and nothing gets lost in a call.
