What types of molds can you design?
I can work on custom silicone molds, resin molds, soap and candle molds, ceramic slip-casting molds, plastic injection mold concepts and CNC-oriented mold components, depending on project complexity.
What files will I receive?
Depending on the package, deliverables can include STEP, STL, IGES, native CAD files and 2D technical drawings. Please specify the file format your manufacturer requires before ordering.
Can you design a mold from a sketch or reference image?
Yes. Provide clear images, dimensions and the intended function. I will assess whether the available information is sufficient or whether additional measurements are needed.
Can you design injection molds for manufacturing?
I can develop the agreed CAD scope, including relevant parting lines, core/cavity geometry and tooling features. Complex tooling must be checked against the actual machine, resin, shrinkage and manufacturer requirements.
Can you design molds for ceramic slip casting?
Yes, subject to the project scope. Share the ceramic product, desired dimensions, casting method, release direction and number of mold sections.
Do you provide CNC machining or physical molds?
This gig covers digital CAD design unless physical production or machining is explicitly agreed. I can prepare suitable design files for you to discuss with your chosen manufacturer.
Can I request revisions or a custom quote?
Yes. Each package includes a specified number of revisions. Complex projects, major design changes, additional components or new requirements may need a separate custom offer.
