About this Gig
Have you finished a draft of your novel and now you're unsure what to do next? This is where a beta reader like me comes in! I am here to look at your story with a fresh pair of eyes and provide thoughtful and constructive feedback.
When reading your manuscript, I will provide in-line comments, as well as larger-scale structural critiques about plot, pacing, character, and style.
Some questions I consider while reading your manuscript:
- What is my first impression of your story? (i.e. does the opening pull me in right away?)
- How is the pacing? Does it hold my attention as a reader?
- Are the characters consistent and compelling?
- Does the dialogue flow naturally?
- How are elements like setting and description working for your story?
- Are there any errors or inconsistencies you could work on?
- Does the ending feel surprising yet satisfying?
I will read fiction, short stories, memoirs, and erotica (even fanfiction!). If you have any questions about the services I offer, or what genres I'll read, send me a message.

FAQ
Do you take on larger projects over 50k words?
Yes! I'd love to read your longer manuscripts. Message me, and we can work out a custom gig for you.
Do you beta read non-fiction?
Not at this time. I have experience with fiction and creative non-fiction (a.k.a. memoirs), but if you're looking for someone to beta read your non-fiction book, then look for a beta reader who specializes in that.
Will you read explicit sex scenes?
Yes, but please send me a brief overview of possible trigger warnings (e.g. kinks), that way I can make an informed decision about what I'm going to read.
