What's the difference between alpha reading and beta reading?
Alpha reading is for early/rough drafts, big picture feedback before you've polished the story. Beta reading is for near finished manuscripts: pacing, plot, characters, and overall reader experience. Not sure which you need? Message me and we'll figure it out.
Do you read fantasy sub genres like romantasy, grimdark, or urban fantasy?
Yes, all of them. Fantasy is my home genre. Epic, grimdark, romantasy, urban, I read and love them all.
What makes psychological thrillers different to beta read?
They live or die on unreliable narration, twist payoff, and sustained dread. I focus on whether clues are planted fairly, whether the twist lands convincingly, and whether the tension holds all the way through.
Will you fix grammar and spelling?
No, that's proofreading, which is a separate service. My focus is the reading experience: story, pacing, structure, and characters. I may flag something if it pulled me out of the story, but line level corrections aren't included.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Completely. I never share, quote, or discuss your work. Happy to sign an NDA before we begin, just ask.
