I will migrate your shopify checkout tracking to checkout extensibility
Server side tracking and analytics with Meta CAPI, GTM, GA4 and Consent Mode v2
About this Gig
On 26 August 2026 Shopify removes checkout.liquid, Additional Scripts and thank you page script tags from every non Plus store. Whatever tracking lives there is deleted, not switched off. On most stores that is the Purchase event.
The day it happens your ads keep spending and your conversions stop arriving. Nothing warns you.
WHAT I MOVE
· Purchase tracking off checkout.liquid and Additional Scripts
· Into a Shopify Customer Events pixel, the supported replacement
· GA4, Google Ads and Meta Pixel rewired and tested on a real order
· Server side tracking with Meta Conversions API and event deduplication (Premium)
· Consent Mode v2 so visitors who decline cookies still report correctly (Premium)
WHAT YOU GET
· A written list of every script that is about to be deleted
· The migration done and verified on a live test order
· A before and after proof report (Standard and Premium)
I CANNOT SEE THIS FROM OUTSIDE
Checkout scripts run only on the checkout page, so nobody can audit them from your storefront. I need admin access to tell you the truth. Anyone quoting you without it is guessing.
Send me your store URL and I will tell you whether you are affected.

FAQ
How do I know if my store is even affected?
If your store is not on Shopify Plus and anyone has ever pasted tracking code into Additional Scripts or the order status page, you are affected. That covers most stores set up before 2024. Message me your URL and I will tell you before you order.
What actually happens on 26 August?
Shopify upgrades the checkout automatically and the old customisations are removed, not disabled. There is no rollback and no notice at the moment it breaks. Your ad platforms simply stop receiving purchases while the ads keep running.
Can you check my checkout without access?
No, and I will not pretend otherwise. Checkout scripts only run on the checkout page, which is not public. I can see your storefront tracking for free, but the part that is about to be deleted needs admin access.
Will I lose my past data?
No. This is about events sent from now on. Your history in GA4, Google Ads and Meta stays where it is. What stops is new purchases arriving after the old scripts are removed.
I already migrated. Is there anything left to do?
Often yes. The common gap is a Customer Events pixel that fires Purchase but sends no value, no currency or no customer parameters, so the numbers look wrong rather than missing. Order Basic and I will tell you exactly what is off.
