I will give you custom feedback on your drumming

About this gig
Taking drum lessons online can be tricky when you and the teacher live in significantly different timezones. Instead of traditionally figuring out a time to meet on Zoom that fits everyone's schedule and timezone, just send me a video of the drumming aspect you are struggling with or have questions about and I will send you a video response with feedback, suggestions, drills and exercises that will help you improve that! It can be anything from technique to set up to feel to mechanics to reading music and mindset. Think of this as your personal drumming consultant without the needed weekly commitment of a traditional lesson schedule. I'm here when you need me and I'm not when you don't! This also allows you to take as long as you need to practice the concepts we talked about before coming back for a follow up!

FAQ
Who is this suitable for?
Drummers of any level from beginner to advanced! Also those who have busy/unstable schedules and can't commit to a set lesson routine. However it would be more effective if the you already have some basic drumming skills as a beginner
I'm a total blank slate wanting to learn drums. Can I still find you?
Yes anyone is welcome but you won't benefit from this fully. Drumming requires a very hands on approach to teach the instrument so I would suggest you taking some lessons from your local teacher for the basics first before venturing out to explore the instrument yourself or finding me
What should I send you for the consulting? (Pt 1)
Record me a video telling me what you're struggling with or have questions about. You don't have to show your face if you dont want to. It is more important that I can see your playing and hear you speak more than seeing your face.
What should I send you for the consulting? (Pt 2)
Try not to send me your "best take". I want to see you in your most natural state while playing the struggle! Try to keep it one take and first take if you can and it also helps if you tell me what other general problems might happen if the recording happens to be a "good take"!
What should I send you for the consulting? (Pt 3)
Try to keep it one topic per consultation (technique, posture, feel, orchestration etc) A topic may cover more than one aspect but if you want to ask about multiple things not related to each other then each of them will be considered one topic and will need three consultations. Don't be greedy ;)
I'm pretty shy. Can I tell you my struggles through writing instead?
Yes but sometimes things get lost in translation via text. I would encourage you to verbally tell me what's wrong in the video instead of just writing to me and sending me a video of you just playing. It would be nice if you sent me both tho!
What languages can you do this in?
I'm fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. If you speak any of these I can record my responses in them. Otherwise the responses will be in English by default
