What is minimally affected voice?
Minimal runs, minimal vibrato and minimal ad libs.
Do you arrange vocals and harmonies?
Not at the moment, I do not offer arranging harmonies nor transposing. You must provide completed arrangement of the vocals, and a recorded demo of you singing the notes and the melody.
Do you edit or tune your vocals?
No I don't use pitch correction or vocal tuning. I warm up, learn your melody and aim to hit the notes with my natural voice as close as possible. I record 5 takes and send you the best take. I do minimal edits including trim the ends of the performance and increase volume for mixing.
What format are you sending the first draft?
First vocal track in mp3 format, after revisions and approvals and after payment received, I send the unmixed, minimal edits, and raw digitally recorded vocal stems in 24bit, sent as .wav files, ready for additional editing and mixing.
How to get started?
Send me a message, with your idea, reference tracks, and a recording of you singing your demo. I’ll let you know before I approve the project, if its a good fit for me.
What equipment you using to record?
I record with an SM58 dynamic mic, ART Project Series audio interface, and GarageBand, in my acoustically treated room, a windscreen, pop filter, and 3 sound absorbing panels. I record in a separate room, exclusive for recording, separate from my living space, and no other people in the house.
Can you also mix your vocals?
No I do not mix my vocals at the moment. I provide dry vocals, no effects, no reverb, no compression, no EQ. I do edit and trim the vocal stems to capture only the polished performance.
How much for revisions?
3 edits are included, that means I’ll re-record the whole thing 3 more times, before I start charging for additional edits. See my pricing for revision cost.
