I will write custom soc 2 security policies for your saas startup
Director of Security Engineering
About this Gig
Most companies write security policies only when someone asks. A prospect sends a security questionnaire, a customer wants policies before signing, or an auditor sets a kickoff date.
Free template packs rarely match what you actually run. If a policy says every code change needs two approvals but your engineers push straight to main, a reviewer will notice. Policies that don't match your real controls create liability.
I tailor every policy to your stack, team size, and operating model, with SOC 2 criteria cited throughout:
- Core 5: Information Security, Access Control, Incident Response, Acceptable Use, Data Classification
- Expanded 12: adds risk, vendor, continuity, change, encryption, logging, and vulnerability management
- Full 21: all 21, plus one SOC 2 coverage table across the set
I lead security engineering for a living. I write security policies, run vendor assessments, and answer enterprise security reviews. I know what reviewers accept and what gets sent back.
Scope: documentation and readiness only, not penetration testing. I don't perform audits and can't promise you'll pass one; SOC 2 attestation comes from an independent CPA firm.

FAQ
What if we have nothing written down yet?
That's common for early-stage teams. I send a questionnaire after you order, and your answers are all I need.
Are these just templates with my name dropped in?
No. Templates are the starting structure. The work is matching them to your real architecture, team, and processes. Generic policies are what reviewers catch. I use AI drafting tools, and I read every policy myself before it's delivered.
Which package should I choose?
Core 5 if a customer or questionnaire asked for your basic policies. Expanded 12 if reviewers are asking about risk, vendors, continuity, or change control. Full 21 if you're preparing for a SOC 2 audit and want every policy in my set plus the criteria map.
Can you guarantee we'll pass our SOC 2 audit?
No, and be skeptical of anyone who says otherwise. The audit is performed by an independent CPA firm against how your controls actually operate. What I control is whether your documentation is complete, consistent, and defensible, which is where first-time audits usually stumble.
What formats do I get?
Editable Markdown plus Word/PDF, so you can adopt and maintain them internally.
Can you get us a SOC 2 certificate?
No. There is no SOC 2 certificate. SOC 2 is an attestation report that an independent CPA firm issues after auditing your controls. Be wary of anyone selling a certificate. I write the policies an auditor reads; I don't perform the audit or promise its result.
What is the SOC 2 criteria map?
Every policy already cites the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria each section addresses. The map adds one table across all your policies, plus the criteria none of them cover yet. It's included in Full 21 and an extra on the others. It maps documents only; it isn't an audit of your systems.
How long does delivery take?
3 days for Core 5, 5 days for Expanded 12, and 7 days for Full 21, counted from when you submit the order requirements.
Can I add one policy without upgrading?
Yes. Add the Additional policy extra ($25 each) to Core 5 or Expanded 12 and tell me which policy you need. Past four extras on Core 5, Expanded 12 costs less; past eight on Expanded 12, Full 21 does.
Do the policies cover ISO 27001 or HIPAA?
They're written against the SOC 2 criteria and public NIST guidance. I don't map them to ISO 27001 or HIPAA, so I don't claim they cover either. Many controls overlap. If you need that mapping, message me before ordering and I'll tell you honestly whether this set fits.
