FAQ
What information do you need to start my map illustration?
Please provide your property layout, reference map or location image, a list of important places to include, preferred colors and any style references. If you don't have a complete layout, message me first so we can discuss what information is available.
Can you create a map for my hotel, resort, vineyard or campground?
Yes! I can create custom illustrated maps for hotels, resorts, vineyards, campgrounds, RV parks and tourism businesses. Your map can show buildings, pathways, parking areas, guest facilities and other important points of interest.
Can you create both a property map and a map of nearby attractions?
Yes. I can create a coordinated set consisting of an illustrated property map and an area attractions map showing nearby destinations, landmarks and other relevant locations. Please provide the locations and any verified travel-time information you want included.
Can you recreate my existing map in a clean vector illustration style?
Yes. I can use your existing map or reference image to create a clean, illustrated version that suits your preferred style. The level of detail and accuracy will depend on the quality of your references and the complexity of the map.
Can you include my brand colors and logo?
Absolutely. Please provide your brand colors, logo and any existing brand guidelines. I will use these as references to help create a consistent visual style for your illustrated map.
Will my map be suitable for printing in brochures, guest directories or signage?
Yes. I can prepare high-resolution artwork for your intended print or digital use. Please share the final dimensions and printing requirements before ordering, especially if the map will be used for large-format signage.
Can you provide an editable Adobe Illustrator file?
Editable vector files can be included according to the package or custom offer. Please confirm your required formats, such as AI, SVG, PDF or PNG, before placing your order.
What if I need changes after seeing the first draft?
I want your map to meet the agreed requirements. Revisions are included according to your selected package. Please provide clear feedback and consolidate your requested changes where possible. Major changes to the original brief may require an additional fee.
Can you include roads, pathways, parking, landmarks and a "You Are Here" marker?
Yes. These elements can be included when they are relevant to your project and agreed upon before work begins. Please provide the locations and reference information so I can represent them clearly in the map illustration.
What if my project requires a large map or multiple maps?
No problem. Please message me before ordering with your project details, the number of maps required, the level of detail and your preferred delivery date. I can review the scope and provide a custom offer based on your requirements.
