I will create academic conceptual diagrams and latex tikz figures for papers
About this gig
I create clean, precise academic diagrams suitable for journal articles, theses, AI/ML research, information theory, logic, systems science and social science.
I specialize in conceptual and formal diagrams where accuracy and theoretical structure matter - not generic infographic design.
Tools and formats:
- LaTeX/TikZ figures for direct use in your paper
- DRAKON diagrams (via DRAKON Editor)
- Python/Gnuplot for formal or data-based figures
- Vector output (SVG, PDF, EPS)
- High-resolution PNG (300 dpi+) for publishing
What I design:
- Conceptual/theoretical frameworks
- System and process models, information-flow diagrams
- Formal logic and set-theory diagrams
- Social science conceptual schemes and variable models
- Boolean lattices and structured hierarchies
- Other multi-dimensional or structured diagrams
What you receive:
- Clear, publication-grade visuals
- Print-quality output with clean geometry and strong visual hierarchy
- Minimal, academic design style (no distracting decoration)
You can provide a sketch, description, reference image, or paper draft - I'll turn it into a consistent, readable, professional diagram.
Source files (LaTeX/TikZ or DRAKON project) can be provided as an extra.
Delivery style preference
Please inform the freelancer of any preferences or concerns regarding the use of AI tools in the completion and/or delivery of your order.

FAQ
Can you convert a hand sketch or rough drawing into a clean diagram?
Yes. Even a phone photo of a sketch is enough.
Can you work in LaTeX/TikZ?
Yes. I write my articles in LaTeX and make diagrams in TikZ.
Which formats do you deliver?
The main formats are PNG and PDF. Plus editable project files (LaTeX/TikZ, Drakon, Python/Sage etc.). Upon request, PNG can be converted into EPS and SVG.
Do you recreate or trace copyrighted materials (e.g., textbook diagrams)?
Only if the client owns the rights. Otherwise, I can redesign the diagram in a new original style.
