I will provide developmental editing and manuscript critique
Writer and Editor
About this Gig
Your manuscript is finished, or close to it, and you need an honest read from someone who can see the whole book.
I'm a literary fiction writer and developmental editor with a background in academic publishing. I read for the big picture (structure, character arcs, pacing, theme, and voice) and tell you what's working, what isn't, and what to fix first. My goal is to help you revise your book, not turn it into mine.

FAQ
What's the difference between developmental editing and copyediting?
Developmental editing looks at the big picture: plot, structure, character, pacing, and theme. Copyediting fixes grammar, punctuation, and consistency. Developmental editing comes first, since there's no point polishing sentences you may cut.
What stage should my manuscript be at?
A complete draft, ideally one you've revised at least once. If you're still drafting, the Basic assessment can help you course-correct.
Will you rewrite my work or change my voice?
No. I give you diagnosis and direction, and every decision stays with you.
My manuscript is over the word limit. Can you still take it?
Yes. Use the extra for additional word count, or message me for a custom offer.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Yes. I won't share, post, or use your work for anything other than your edit.
