As you may know every month Microsoft and other vendors provide security patches. To maintain your IT infrastructure Secure, you must install these updates.
These updates are rolled out usually following a second tuesday of the month schedule, so it is recommended to install these updates as soon as they are released.
I will make sure to install these updates and roll them back too if needed, since some updates might affect the correct behavior of applications.
We recommend to always have a staging environment to be able to test these updates.
There will also be zero-day patches I can also take care of separately

When do you recomment to install these Monthly Updates?
These udpates are already tested by Microsoft and they are considered production environment patches, so they should be installed as soon as they are released the same day of next days following the second tuesday of the month
Can Monthly Updates cause issues in my environment?
I have been working managing servers for close to 2 decades, and I know that patches can cause issues. Most of the time, the OS is not affected, but the applications that reside in these servers, so we must test them, but they are needed to stay up to date and secure
What if an update causes an issue?
I recommend to test these in a staging environment before being rolled out to production. But if you only have a prod environment we should have backups and be ready to roll back the update if it causes issues
