I will build a custom jd edwards as400 dashboard or report desktop app
About this gig
Your data lives in JD Edwards World (AS400), but the reports still get built by hand in Excel, or nobody knows until the end of the day whether the goal was met. I fix that with a Windows desktop app made for your exact process.
What I build:
- Live dashboards for a TV on the plant floor: progress vs. daily and monthly goal, "on time / behind" for the current shift, end-of-day forecast and charts
- Report apps: pull data by ODBC and produce a PDF identical to your current Excel format, print it silently and process hundreds of items in one batch
- Replacements for old VBScript, HTA or Access tools that are hard to maintain
How I work:
- VB.NET or C# with WPF on .NET, read-only queries to JDE / DB2 for i over ODBC
- Never crashes on a bad query: keeps the last data and shows the error
- Built-in diagnostics (DSN, driver, 32/64 bits, connection test)
- Demo mode with fake data, so you can review it before it touches your AS400
- English or Spanish UI, source code included
I have built and run both kinds of apps in a real manufacturing plant. Message me with the report or screen you want, and I will tell you if it fits a package before you order.

FAQ
Do you need access to my AS400 to start?
No. I build and test with a demo mode and sample data based on your table and column names. You run the final version on your network with your own ODBC connection, and I guide you over a screen share if needed. Queries are read-only.
Does it work with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or other ERPs?
Yes, if the data can be read over ODBC or SQL: JDE World, EnterpriseOne, DB2 for i, SQL Server and similar. Send me the tables you use and I will confirm before you order.
What do I need to send you?
Your current report or Excel sheet (or a photo of the screen you want), the SQL or table names if you have them, and your goals or rules. Sample data with fake values is enough to start.
