I will work toward your vision, mix and master your multitracks

About this gig
My name is Erik, and I'm excited to get to work on your next project.
Rather than cranking out quick/template-based mixes, I choose to build relationships to each artist/song in order to achieve a complete understanding toward a holistic mix. I offer the ability to meet with me directly to discuss:
- what you're looking for
- the story your song will tell
- the feeling your song will achieve.
My routine includes:
- Editing: time-based corrections/alignment, vocal tuning, polarity checks, cross-fades, gain-staging, and other mixprep to ensure source files live up to their full potential
- Mixing: making level/balance, eq, compression, saturation, automation, panning, and fx moves to create feel, and cohesion
- Mastering: broad-stroke moves along eq, compression, saturation, width, etc. using Izotope Ozone and analog/outboard gear processing to ensure a commercially-competitive track
I want to respect your art and give it the attention you desire, and thus I don't offer any "special" packages... we will work together to give everything that is needed to meet the vision of your song.

FAQ
What do you need to get started?
I will need the multitrack audio files or stems, preferably in the .wav or .aiff format. MP3 and similar compressed file types should be a last-resort option. Optionally, I request 1-3 reference tracks that are used to help shape the sonic signature of your mix.
What genres do you work in?
Most of my experience comes from indie/independent, alternative, pop, rock, punk, jazz, and instrumental... but I am open to all avenues!
How good do your mixes sound?
The unfortunate fact is that a mix can only be as good as it's source material. The greatest mixes are created from great recordings, of great performances, of great arrangements, etc. However, there is always A LOT we can do to take your song to the next level! I can assure release-ready quality.
What will I receive when the project is completed?
I will bounce the mix as a 16-bit WAV file at 44.1 kHz, which is standard for most consumer distribution/streaming. Please let me know ahead of time if you desire a different export and I would be happy to accommodate!
Do I have to participate in a video call to work with you?
This video call offers the chance to discuss your vision, the story, your sonic references, etc. in a more human form. It's often easier to communicate these ideas face-to-face. With that being said, the video call is completely optional. I am happy to discuss details over messages!
What is your communication like?
Once I receive your files, I will share an action plan with reasonable timelines for the work ahead. At the end of each working day, I'll send a status update on what was completed and what is left. Reach out to me at any point with questions or concerns and I'll get back to you within the day!
Do you offer mixing for entire EPs or albums?
Of course! Reach out and we can discuss track count and other information. I am happy to accommodate other requests.
Can I meet with you before booking?
I am happy to answer any questions/concerns before booking via messages, and assure I will respond within the day. I reserve video calls for booked clients to ensure those face-to-face conversations are intentional and respectful of our time.
Are you working out of a studio? Can I be assured your listening environment is accurate?
I work out of an acoustically-treated basement studio with 4in. rockwool panels and corner bass traps for sound absorption, along with additional diffusion devices. I monitor on a pair of Kalis and Yamaha NS10s w/ Sonarworks calibration for additional correction.
