I will create a python script to batch rename your files

About this gig
Rename many files with one clear, repeatable rule. I will create a small Python command-line script for a local Windows folder.
Included: one naming rule, one folder without subfolders, up to 1000 files. Examples include adding a prefix, replacing part of a name, or applying a numbered sequence. File contents and extensions stay unchanged.
You receive Python source code, a README, a dry-run preview, a before/after CSV log and tests using sample filenames. The script checks for invalid names and collisions and will not overwrite existing files. Applying changes requires an explicit command. Test on a backup copy first.
Send 5-10 original filenames with exact desired results, file count, sorting order, Windows version and Python version before ordering. Python 3 is required; installation and remote access are not included.
This is a local file-renaming utility, not a website, GUI app, scraper or cloud integration. No reading file contents, OCR, AI classification, nested-folder moves or deletion. One revision covers the agreed rule; new rules need a new scope. Development may use AI-assisted tools, with sample-based verification.

FAQ
Do I need to send my files or give remote access?
Usually a list of sample filenames and desired results is enough. You run the delivered Python script locally on Windows. Python 3 is required. Preview the proposed changes and test on a backup first. Installation, remote access and a graphical interface are not included.
