Turning IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings into clean, buildable shop drawings is something I do every day not as a freelance exercise, but as part of my actual job on an active construction site.
I'm a mechanical site engineer working under a major EPC contractor on a residential project in Saudi Arabia. My daily work includes preparing, checking, and coordinating mechanical shop drawings for HVAC ductwork, piping, and equipment rooms before they go to site crews for installation. That means the drawings I deliver aren't just visually clean they're built the way a site team actually needs them: correct clearances, elevations, support details, and coordination with electrical and plumbing so nothing clashes on-site.

No. I provide drafting and shop drawing preparation services only. If you need a drawing stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer for permitting or legal purposes, you'll need to have it reviewed and stamped by a licensed PE in your jurisdiction after delivery. I'm happy to prepare drawings in a
Do you do load calculations or engineering analysis?
This gig covers drafting and shop drawings only — not load calculations, sizing calculations, or simulation. If your project needs that, let's discuss it separately before ordering so we scope it correctly.
What file formats do I receive?
PDF is included in every package. Editable DWG source files are included from the Standard package up, and Revit (RVT) files are available on Premium. If you need a specific format not listed, message me before ordering.
What software do you use?
AutoCAD for 2D shop drawings, and Revit MEP for 3D modeling on Premium orders.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your IFC (Issued for Construction) drawing set or reference design, the project's approximate size (sq ft), and which system(s) you need — ductwork, piping, or both. The more complete your source drawings, the faster and more accurate the output.
Can you handle a project larger than what's listed in Premium?
Yes — message me with your scope and project size and I'll send a custom offer.
Will my project files be kept confidential?
Yes. Your drawings and project information are used only to complete your order and are not shared or reused elsewhere. I'm also open to signing an NDA if your project requires one.
Do you offer rush delivery?
Yes, as a paid extra — this cuts standard delivery time roughly in half. Availability depends on current workload, so message me first to confirm I can meet your deadline.
How many revisions are included?
1 revision on Basic, 2 on Standard, and unlimited on Premium. Revisions cover corrections and adjustments within the original scope — significant scope changes (new systems, major layout changes) may require an additional order or extra.
