Just finished your manuscript and need an honest reader's take before publishing or submitting to agents? That's where I come in.
As a beta reader, I read your work from a general reader's point of view: Does it hook from the start? Does the pacing hold up? Do the characters convince? Is the plot coherent? Does your message come through?
I read widely, though I'm most at home in contemporary fiction, psychological realism, autofiction, romance, coming-of-age, philosophy, and sociological nonfiction.
You'll get a report with my overall impressions, specific comments, and concrete suggestions with an honest, constructive but always empathetic feedback.
This service does NOT include proofreading, grammar correction, or style editing (if you need that, look for an editing gig). What you're getting here is a full reading experience.

What's the difference between a beta reader and a proofreader/editor?
A proofreader checks spelling and grammar; an editor works on structure and style. I give you a real reader's perspective: what works, what doesn't, and why.
Do you read manuscripts in any language?
I work in Spanish (and English, if that's helpful — let me know). If your manuscript is in another language, message me before ordering.
What if my manuscript is longer than the package limit?
Add the "additional words" extra when ordering. If your book is much longer, message me for a custom quote.
Do you read nonfiction, or only novels?
Yes, I also read philosophy and sociological nonfiction — great if you want to check your essay is accessible to a general audience.
What format should I send my manuscript in?
Word (.docx) or PDF preferred. If you use Google Docs, share the link with comment access.
Can I ask for a specific questionnaire instead of a free-form report?
Yes, in the Premium package I can work from a custom questionnaire. In Basic/Standard, just tell me your key questions and I'll fold them into the general report.
When does the delivery timer start?
It starts once I receive your full manuscript, not when you purchase the gig. If the file takes time to arrive, your delivery deadline isn't affected.
